On October 14, the Smart AluExtrusion SAE’26 scientific conference took place at the Faculty of Non-Ferrous Metals at the AGH University of Krakow. Aliplast Extrusion was both a sponsor and an active participant in the event, once again confirming our commitment to driving innovation, digitalization, and implementing modern technologies in the aluminum alloy extrusion industry.
This year’s edition brought together leading Polish aluminum extrusion companies, providers of advanced technological solutions, and distinguished experts from national universities and research institutes (including AGH, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Częstochowa University of Technology, Rzeszów University of Technology, Lublin University of Technology, and the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals).
Through numerous presentations and panel discussions, we focused on key challenges shaping the future of our industry:
3D Printing of Tools and Dies – Practical applications of additive manufacturing in extrusion processes.
Digital Twin of the Process – Advanced FEM numerical modeling and digital integration between die manufacturers and extrusion plants (including systems such as QForm UK and ExtrusionLink™).
Tool Wear Reduction – Modern methods for extending die lifespan and optimizing production parameters.
Modern Aluminum-Glass Solutions – Technological innovations for sustainable construction.
At Aliplast Extrusion, we have long believed that close collaboration between industry and academia is the key to success. Participating in SAE’26 provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, discover the latest R&D results, and build new business-science partnerships.
Combining our manufacturing experience with the research potential of Polish universities enables us to continuously enhance the quality of our products and implement the most efficient solutions.
